Ethnographic collection Podsečki consists of the reconstructed traditional cottage (˝hižica˝) and a lake. There are many objects from the former everyday life in the house and all of them are still usable. The host is always happy to tell the story of all the objects and also of the specific Bednja dialect.

 

The Bednja river flows in close vicinity and its backwater is the home of a beaver colony.  So..if you happen to come across the footprints in the mud or if you think you´ve heard the splash, stay close…you never know when the beaver might take a walk..
